How to Apply

3 ways to submit an application


NOTE:
HPA partners with Three W International to provide comprehensive international student enrollment management to students from China. Together, we are able to provide unparalleled support and service to our international students, from general admissions to post-arrival and beyond. Option 1 - Apply

  • There is an online portion of the application that you complete and submit online and a portion that you download, print, and give to others to complete and send directly to HPA.
  • After you complete and submit the application online, HPA will have electronic access to the online portion within 24 hours.
  • Please print and keep a copy of the application for your personal files.
Option 2 - Complete the application packets below including all required forms.

The HPA Admission Office receives paperwork in the following ways:

  • Fax to 808-881-4003
  • E-mail scanned forms to admissions@hpa.edu
  • Mail all original forms to:

Option 3- If you are planning on applying to more than one school, HPA accepts the Standard Application Online (SAO) for your convenience

The Secondary School Admission Test Board (SSATB) provides a common application, which is accepted by most schools that accept the SSAT as part of the admission process. The school code for HPA is 3766.

Application and Decision Dates

The information listed below is intended to help families submit their admission application prior to any priority deadlines. If you need additional information or have questions about your specific situation, please contact the admission office at admissions@hpa.edu, or call 808-881-4321.

Early Decision (for boarding students only):

Nov. 20, 2016 or any date thereafter once the application is complete. To be eligible for an early decision, applicant must meet the following two criteria:

1. Applicant must be applying for 7-day boarding status

2. Applicant has indicated that HPA is either his/her first choice or only choice.

Priority Deadline for Admission Application

Monday, Feb. 6, 2017

Priority Deadline for Financial Aid Applications:

Monday, Feb. 6, 2017

Re-enrollment:

HPA will notify current families – Friday, Feb. 17, 2017
Re-enrollment family reply date– Friday, March 3, 2017

Admission Decisions - Kindergarten:

HPA will notify Kindergarten families of admission decision – Monday, Feb. 27, 2017

Kindergarten family reply date – Monday, Mar. 13, 2017

Admission Decisions - Grades 1-12, and Post-Graduate (PG):

HPA will notify newly accepted students of admission decision – Monday, Mar. 6, 2017
New student reply date – Monday, Mar. 20, 2017

Rolling Admission Decisions – Grades K-12, and Post-Graduate (PG):

All applications submitted after the priority deadlines listed above will receive an admission decision based on space availability.
