CPR Day at Hawaiʻi Preparatory Academy
WAIMEA, Island of Hawaii—The Red Cross Youth Group at Hawaii Preparatory Academy, in conjunction with the American Red Cross West Hawaii Branch, will offer free CPR training on Saturday, April 19, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the school’s Castle Gymnasium (Upper Campus).
Training sessions will begin on the half hour. Each session will be limited to 30 people and will take 2-1/2 hours. This course usually takes 3-1/2 hours to complete at a cost of about $38.
Dana Petteys, Red Cross Youth Group advisor, emphasized that there is no charge to participate in the training sessions. “We invite all community members to learn these lifesaving skills,” she said.
Registration is recommended. To register, call Petteys at 881-4082. Walk-ins will be accommodated on a space available basis.
