HPA Commencement Set for May 22

WAIMEA, Island of Hawaii—Commencement ceremonies for the Hawaii Preparatory Academy (HPA) will be held starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, in Castle Gymnasium at the school's upper campus.

Eighty graduating seniors will take part in the program. Headmaster Dr. Olaf Jorgenson will preside. Jay Wilder, Upper School history teacher, who is retiring after 30 years at the school, will deliver the commencement address.

As part of the commencement week activities, a baccalaureate service will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, in the school’s Davies Chapel. Gordon Bryson, Upper School English department chairman, will be the featured speaker.
