The HPA 'Ohana Association -- a Fund- and Friend-raising organization of HPA parents -- provides an invaluable avenue of communication between parents and the school. The association holds monthly meetings and organizes a variety of activities to benefit the HPA community.

Including: Pumpkin Patch and Silent Auction (Sunday, October 23, 2011 from 10am – 4pm), Experience HPA, Teacher Appreciation, Financial Aid, Wellness Program, Christmas Parade float, Parent Liaisons (Grades K – 8), Welcome baskets for new faculty, Kokua Program (creating philanthropic opportunities for students), the Hanai Program for Boarders, Books for Africa, Backpack Drive with Nani … and more.

Recent funds raised have contributed to various school wish list items such as: smart boards for the classrooms, improved campus signage, wrestling mat, health and wellness curriculum, Scoreboard for the new track, voluntary drug testing program at the upper campus, senior Grad Night and more.

All families are automatically part of the ‘Ohana Association. Volunteer opportunities are always available – if you are interested in participating in any ‘Ohana Association activities, feel free to contact Kathryn Freitas, Susan Macy, Robin Paraiso or Judy Greenbaum (see contact information below) for details. Volunteering is a great way to meet new friends and make a difference in the HPA learning environment!

A BIG MAHALO to the 2011 – 2012 ‘Ohana Association Board.
