Equestrian Camp: Download 2015 Registration Form

The Equestrian Camp offers a diverse training regimen designed to create a working knowledge of the aids and mechanics involved when riding English, as well as proper grooming and tacking procedures. Instruction will encourage students to enhance and challenge their existing equestrian knowledge, or, for beginners, learn stable management and basic riding skills. Open to students, eight years old and older.

June 2, 3 and 4 and June 9, 10 and 11 (times TBA); 3-hours per day; $80 per day. 

The Friday Riding program meets once a week throughout most of the summer. This on-going program affords students the opportunity to ride on the field with one instructor or head up into the hills with another. Open to students, eight years old and older.

Time TBA (normally 3 to 5 p.m.); 2-hours every Friday; $40 per session.

Private lessons are available throughout the year. Size of group and length of lesson determine price. Placement in these programs is on a first come, first served basis. Enrollment is subject to the instructor’s approval.

Trail rides are arranged on an individual basis. ($35 per hour with a 2-hour minimum)

2015 Summer Swim Academy:

Join Coach Sarie Imonen and her enthusiastic instructors for Summer Swim Academy. Sessions are two weeks long, with lessons being held Monday through Thursday. Students will receive a half-hour of instruction each day with free swim available at 1-3 p.m. on Fridays. This is a great opportunity to learn to swim or to advance one’s swimming technique and endurance, as all levels of classes will be provided—From Parent and Tot to Pre Team.

  • Session #1 June 8-18
  • Session #2 June 22- July 2
  • Session #3 July 20-31


  • Parent and Tot (Age 12 month to 4 years): The instructor(s) will facilitate the learning process between you and your child in a fun, relaxed environment. Skills are taught through repetition of songs and activities.
  • Bubbles Floats and Glides: Beginners will learn water safety skills, proper breathing, floating, gliding, and kicking on front and back, and rolling over from front to back without support.
  • Swimming 101: Students learn basic freestyle without breathing and the side-glide kick. Swimmers will learn the sitting dive, streamline kick, and will retrieve items from the bottom of the pool. PREREQUISITES: Child must be able to float and kick on the front and back without support.
  • Swimming 102: Students learn freestyle side breathing and basic backstroke. They will work on knee dives and retrieval of items from the bottom of the pool. PREREQUISITES: Child must be capable of swimming proper freestyle (without breathing) and side-glide kick for 5 yards.
  • Swimming 103: Students learn bilateral freestyle breathing and build endurance until they are able to swim 25 yards free and back. They will learn to tread water, somersault, flip turn, and standing dives. PREREQUISITES: Child must have a clean freestyle and proper backstroke.
  • Pre Team: This class teaches the breaststroke and butterfly, while continuing to improve freestyle and backstroke endurance and technique. PREREQUISITES: Child must have mastered the freestyle with bilateral breathing and the backstroke for 25 yards.
  • NEW: Diving (Ages 6-adult): Beginning divers will start with the fundamentals and safety, learning the proper forward approach and backward press, as well as how to enter the water safely head first and feet first. We'll focus on pr oper body position and control. After mastering the basics, we'll move on learn dives and flips in different categories (front, back, reverse and inward) and different positions (tuck, pike and layout). Experienced divers will polish existing lists and learn new dives. PREREQUISITES: students must be able to swim 10 yards unassisted. Diving is offered from 3-4 p.m. in Session 2 with (modified dates June 23-July 2) and Session 3.

Assessment: If you are not sure what level your child might be, we strongly recommend an assessment. Ten-minute assessments at the HPA Dowsett Pool will be offered between 3 and 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, April 26, May 3, May 24, and by appointment in June. Ka Makani Basketball Camp 2015:

HPA basketball coaches Dave Huntington and Fred Wawner will lead the camp for rising fifth through tenth grade girls and boys. The camp will focus on skill development, footwork fundamentals, and team and in-game instruction in a fun atmosphere. All campers will take home a camp basketball.

June 3-5

  • Rising Grades 5-7 - 9-11:30 a.m.
  • Rising Grades 8-10 - 3:30-6 p.m.

Rutgers Tennis Center Junior Tennis Camps: Download 2015 Registration Form

About The Junior Tennis Camps:

Experience the FUN of an INDOOR TENNIS CAMP, we are offering 8 three-day sessions for the summer of 2015. All ability levels are welcome, players will be grouped accordingly on the first day.

The camp will emphasize the development of proper technique of all strokes. Each player will be coached in various aspects of match play, including strategy, which will be customized for their level.

  • Session 1: May 25-28 (9 a.m. – 1 p.m.) * ages 6+17/ all abilities
  • Session 2: June 1-4 (9 a.m. – 1 p.m.) * ages 6+17/ all abilities
  • Session 3: June 8-11 (9 a.m. – 1 p.m.) * ages 6+17/ all abilities

Please register a minimum of 6 days prior to camp. This assures a spot and consistency in the program. Credits will be given only to another camp session.  Please wear tennis shoes to camp / No running shoes / Bring a water bottle.
