Strength and wellbeing for HPA athletes and all students

Whether you are an elite runner or a beginning student of yoga, HPA is committed to your competitive success and your long-term wellbeing. Our Upper School students and teams are supported by both an athletic trainer and a strength and conditioning coach. No matter where you are on your athletic journey, we’re here to ensure that you develop properly with skills for a lifetime of healthy exercise.

Athletic training

Our certified athletic trainer, Heather Berry, is a healthcare professional focused on managing injuries that impact our student athletes. She responds to immediate events and emergency care, as well as long-term rehabilitation and reconditioning.

Strength and conditioning

Kumu Ka‘ai Spencer, our strength and conditioning coach, works with teams and individuals to improve performance, technique, and stamina. Students learn about body mechanics and practice agility movements and core exercises under his guidance in our dedicated strength and conditioning room.
