Track and Field/Girls & Boys

This school has done so much for me. I don’t think you could ever forget your experience here because it is such an amazing school.”

—Emma Taylor ’16, now running track for the Boston College Eagles

The HPA track and field program offers distance running, pole-vaulting, hurdling, and much more on some of the finest facilities in the state. The all-weather, 400-meter, eight-lane Stanford W. Shutes track encircles HPA’s football/soccer field and is perfectly suited for both practice and competition.

With an experienced coaching staff leading the way, HPA athletes have an opportunity to thrive in a supportive and fun-filled environment. And while physically demanding, the team has a reputation as welcoming and supportive group, making it a great way to find new friends on campus who enjoy the same things.

Many student athletes who participate in track and field at HPA are also involved in one or more other varsity sports, as they’ve learned that track can help improve their abilities in other areas. The team has a history of success, having won the girls team state title twice.
